This self care series run by a qualified professional, focuses on key areas that will reduce your stress and equip you with the right tools to help reprioritise yourself in your life and assist in your journey to being the best for yourself and your family.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR ATTENDEES
Week 1 – how to set boundaries, mental health awareness and mindfulness what is it and how do you do it
Week 2 – goal setting, what is it and how to do it
Week 3 – creative, try out lots of creative activities and find out about groups locally
Week 4 – food, thinking about your relationship with producing and creating food in your life, prep, planning, creativity
Week 5 – journalling, explore how to do this and its benefits
Week 6 – physical, explore relationship to exercise and how it could be included in life, go for walk/look at gym
Week 7 – social networks, how is yours working for you and does it need attention?
Week 8 – life balance, look over previous weeks and identify changes that could be made and closing session, self-care, changes you’ve made or are planning
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR – EMMA
Emma was an Occupational Therapist and is a Midwife with a Masters in Women’s Health. She has also developed a preparation for parenthood course for the service. Her passion is women’s mental health especially around the perinatal period. In her spare time she enjoys music, reading and hanging out with her kids.

The Western Australian Centre for Perinatal Mental Health and Parenting Support (WACPPS) is the sister organisation of Women’s Health & Wellbeing Services, a not for profit organisation that works with women and families in the community to reduce the impact of mental health problems on families and to help foster growth, for strong women and strong families.
