Circle of Security - Parenting Course

The Circle of Security Parenting program is a practical, solution-based course that teaches parents, caregivers, teachers, and really just anyone involved with children, how to help kids figure out their emotions and create a calmer environment. If you are looking for your household or classroom to be happier, your kids to be more content and for less shouting, this course could be a good one for you. 

Run as a 6-week course, meeting weekly for two hours, this popular series will help you to strengthen the parent-child relationship by providing insights and new ways of understanding and responding to your child’s behaviour.

Who is the Facilitator?

At WACPPS, Circle of Security courses are led by qualified therapists who have achieved Circle of Security training.

Do I have to come to every session?

WACPPS recommends that you prioritise attending each week. Concepts are built upon week by week and missing content makes it difficult to move forward. We are unable to offer catch-up sessions. Please book the course at a time when you will be able to attend as many sessions as possible.

What happens at a session?

Each week the facilitator will use the circle of security-approved video content and facilitated discussion. Content will include asking yourself what are your own struggles as a parent, what were your experience of being parented, what’s your child’s experience?

How many sessions are there? 

There are 8 sessions in total and each session runs for 2 hours.
